Astral projection is when a part of you actually leaves your body and travels around. Also known as Out of Body Experience, or OBE, astral projection is not Controlled Remote Viewing. Let me explain the difference.
There have been documented cases of people who — while astral projecting — have been seen — and even photographed — in two locations at once. This is because we have an etheric body and a physical body. When your etheric body leaves your physical body and wanders around, it can be visible to animals and people with certain sensitivities. You are, in essence, like a ghost — even though you are still alive. Therefore, you are detectable.
Controlled Remote Viewing, on the other hand, is not at all like OBE. CRV is a written process, conducted with eyes open, speaking out loud, and writing everything that comes into your mind down on paper in a certain structure designed to separate imagination from true psychic perceptions.
CRV is known as "an interview and report methodology". It was designed for US military intelligence, and as such, it was imperative that this sort of remote viewing had to be undetectable.
If you are out of your body, spying on a secret military installation and the guard dog barks because he SEES you — you've blown your cover and the cause is lost.
With CRV, you can view, sense, hear, smell and experience everything at the targeted site, which can be anything, anywhere in all of Time or Space. BUT… you are literally undetectable, because no part of you is leaving your body.
So… What IS happening when a viewer is using CRV? One theory suggests that the subconscious mind is accessing the information from the Source, whether that be the "great big cosmic database in the sky" or spirit guides or God or whatever you want to call it. And as the subconscious mind accesses that information, it transmits to the Viewer's conscious mind through the body. The human body is the link between conscious and subconscious minds.
As you gain information, your conscious mind constructs a sort of virtual reality — a "copy" of the actual target. So the viewer experiences the target with all the smells, tastes, textures, and dimensions it offers - but is undetectable because he or she is not actually present at the target. Instead, it is as if the Viewer is on the Holodeck of the Starship Enterprise. It often feels very real to the Viewer, in fact! But it is merely a copy of the real target. Identical, but a copy.
I hope this clears up the difference between astral projection (OBE) and Controlled Remote Viewing.
Have fun!
Big hug,
Lori
Hi Lori
In my 30s I meditated for many many years the benefits were amazing but one time without knowing what was happening I viewed two people I was positioned up in the corner of the scene what freaked me out was when they looked at me this scared me to the point I stopped meditating. I'm 57 now and have been trying to get back into meditating came across your site have been following you and have purchased your book I've been reading it and I'm going to stop practicing it at some point when I'm probably through your book I intend to take a free Master class and continue from there that experience I had back in my thirties I didn't know where to turn I had no support and didn't know what happened anyways thank you for all you do I will keep following hugs and love
Going to press submit one more time doesn't seem to be going through
Thanks, Susan! I look forward to seeing you in class!
I think this is one of the most significant information for me.
And i am glad reading your article. But want to remark on some general things,
The site style is great, the articles is really great : D.
Good job, cheers
Kind of agree with you Lori. Years ago I was working on a project for remote viewing of a guy I didnt know. I saw his life, hospital stay, what if was all about. It never occured/unfolded in this physical reality for a month later.
I think if has something to do with our perception of time. In this perception on our time we dont have the capability to move what is to be, so we wait for it to unfold in this so called present moment of time. It's like we are on this side of the physical reality fence, yet over on the other side of the fence it's already present & always was.
Dont know if that makes sense.
This comparison really has now explained to me how CRV is interpreted by the body linking it's own consciousness to the unconscious realm in the"source field".
Thank you Lori.
I will be signing up for the 6 weeks class
With each class taken i become more enthused to learn more..i anticipate the day when my abilities of control remote viewing becomes like second nature to me
From personal experience I know that water divining is a very valid art. I have always felt that the psychic part of the diviner (astral body, soul, or whatever term you prefer) actually goes out and locates the water (or oil, gas, etc) that is being sought, then indicates that spot to the diviner by bending the device used, and then dips the device so many times to indicate the depth. Is this a fair assumption of how divining actually works?
Hi! Someone in my Myspace group shared this website with us
so I came to look it over. I'm definitely loving the
information. I'm book-marking and will be tweeting this to my followers!
Superb blog and excellent style and design.
This is really great. Thank you. Your teaching style is really great for me. I have a question. As I understand it, with astral travel one can consciously FEEL the pleasures of being in their place of choice to visit. Can the CRV conduit also have conscious enjoyment, or even a feeling of repulsion, whilst “seeing” a target location? I have heard that the senses describe sounds, sights, and smells, but does the ambience of a location sink into the body of the conduit. For instance, might their body react to stimuli at the target area if they happen to be a highly sensitive person as well? Thanks for reading.
Hi Stephanie,
The answer to your question is a definite YES! It is amazing the many layers that remote viewing has! And YES, it can be FUN! And we can experience many emotions at the target.
Hugs,
Lori
