“I have trouble hitting the Aesthetic Impact at times.  Any suggestions?”

The Aesthetic Impact is that moment when you are relating spatially to the target.  The “AI” occurs when you have an impression that includes both you and the target and is usually a spatial relationship.

If you find that you are moving through Phase Two and you haven’t had an AI, look back through your session to see if you may have had one that you missed.  I find that is usually the case.  The AI can be very subtle!  If you haven’t had one, look for a dimensional perception.  For example, if back on page 6, you had the perception of “round” — then try to draw the “round.”  Feel it as you draw it.  How round is it?  As you sketch and feel, you will usually be able to induce an AI as you form a spatial relationship to that which you have found to be “round.”
